Charles Sisson 86, of Madill, Okla. passed away Thursday, October 1, 2020 at the Arbuckle Memorial Hospital in Sulphur, Okla. He was born on J anuary 8, 1934 in Colcord, Okla. to the late Haskell Sisson and Elizabeth Southerland Sisson..

Charles was raised in the northeast part of Oklahoma and when he turned 16, he went on the road playing his fiddle. He lived in Colorado and later moved to Kansas where he worked for the City of Hayesville..

Charles married Norma June Gorges on January 5, 1951 and she preceded him in death. He later married Rosie Mae Turner on April20, 1979 in Oakland, Okla. and she preceded him in death on March 3, 2013. In 1975, he moved to Madill where he worked in the maintenance department at the Marshall Memorial Hospital and retired after 25 years..

Charles enjoyed working in his shop, playing the fiddle and fishing..

He is survived by his children; Haskell "Leroy" Sisson, and wife Sherry, Madill of Okla., Charles A Sisson and wife Ann of Madill, Okla., Tammy J. Sisson Hunt of Ardmore, Okla., his grandchildren; Haskell Sisson Jr., Krystal Sisson, Roy Lee Sisson, and Elmer Sisson, step grandchildren; Missy Harris, Tiffany Harris and Chris Harris, great grandchildren; Skylar Muns, Kolbe Muns, Treyce Muns, Dusting Griffith, MacKenizie Griffith, Brian VanZetten, Branden Harris, Travis Copeland, Haley Brown, Andrew Harris and Aubrey Hunt, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents, two wives, three sisters and one brother.

Honorary Bearers were David Wilson, John Moss, Haskell Sisson Jr., Roy Sisson, Elmer Sisson and Paul Sisson.

Visitation was held Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at the Watts Funeral Home in Madill, Okla. from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Service was Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at the Oakland Cemetery in Oakland, Okla. David Boggs officiated the service. Services were under the direction of Watts Funeral Home in Madill, Okla. Condolences may be sent to wattsfuneralhome.com.
