Veterans Day event

On November 11, the American Legion Post #99 is hosting their annual Veteran’s Memorial event. The event is to thank all veterans, past and present, for their service.

Thebreakfastwillbeatthe Madill Church of Christ at 9 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Donuts, fruit, coffee and juice will start the festivities. The event will then move over to the Courthouse Square at 11 a.m. There be posting of the colors and the Pledge of Allegiance will be recited. Patriotic music will be performed by the Madill Wildcats Jazz Band and Show Choir.

A few orators will speak on the sacrifices that many veterans experience and the importance of Veteran’s Day. Be sure to bring a lawn chair, as seating is extremely limited on the square.

The event will then move back to the Madill Church of Christ Fellowship Hall for lunch at noon. The lunch is open to all veterans and their families. Please join the festivities in thanking all veterans for their sacrifice.
