The filing date for Property Tax Relief began on January 1 and runs through March 15. There is no age requirement to receive the tax relief. One just must have owned and occupied the property as of January 1, 2024.

For any property owner whose total gross household income is less than $30,000, they could be eligible for an additional Homestead Exemption. For any property owner over the age of 65, they could qualify for a Senior ValuationLimitation(Senior Freeze) if their total gross household income is below $60,900. This will freeze the assessed value of the property,notthetaxamount. Any improvements made to the property or changes in millage rates will cause the tax amount to fluctuate each year.

For anybody over 62 and owns a manufactured home on leased land, they could be eligible for a double Homestead Exemption. The total grosshouseholdincomemust be less than $30,450 and the manufactured home is personal property on leased land.

For any who is over 65 or disabled and their total household income is less than $12,000, they could be eligible for a partial refund of the property tax paid on the home.

All renditions are due no later than March 15.
