Emily Bellettini said she just loves competition, and anyone can see it in her eyes when she talks about her teammates and the season ahead of her. She has been an important part of the success of the Lady Redskins, and now going into her senior year, she said she can’t wait to get going.

She said she has set goals in her mind that she wants to accomplish this season. The first things that come to her mind are leadership and the state tournament.

“I have been blessed to have leadership from a lot of girls in my career,” she said. “And now, it’s my turn to help the younger girls along, by example of my effort, or by encouragement”.

Bellettini is a prolific rebounder. For 5’9”, she plays taller than her actual height. After getting the rebound on the defensive end, she takes offwithamazingspeed. Even though it isn’t her natural position, Rumer has played her at the low post for two seasons. She grew up playing guard.

She can play facing the goal or posting up on her opponent. She is a better than average scorer that can go inside or out. This season, Bellettini will be called on to do more. Excellent defense, good scoring and amazing rebounding, all attributes a coach want in someone who will arguably be one of the best in the Lake Country Conference this season.
