Cristina Trevino is a senior at Madill High School. She has attended Madill public schools the last four years. She played soccer her freshman and sophomore year and is now the soccer trainer. Her parents are Hortencia and Julian Trevino. She has three siblings named of Julian, Yuliana, and Yanari Trevino.

She said moving to the states was a challenge.

“My biggest challenge was moving to the United States from Mexico when I was nine years old and having to learn a new language,” Trevino said. “However, my favorite memory over the last few years was going to the mall with the soccer team and riding the stuffed animals. And even though I’ve played soccer for a short amount of time, I just want to thank the coaches for all the help and patience during my two years of playing.”

She said her greatest inspiration has been her mom.

“The person that has inspired me in life is my mom, because she never gives up and has taught me that you can achieve anything you put your mind to,” Trevino said. “I am thankful for my parents for everything that they have done for me and for always doing their best to give me a better life.”

Trevino’s said she plans to attend Murray for her basics after high school and see what happens from there. Her advice for the younger classmates is to enjoy high school as much as possible because it will go by very fast.
