2021 Marshall County 4-H Communications Contest

On February 3, 2021, seventeen 4-H members competed in this year’s Marshall County 4-H Communications Contest held at the OSU Extension Office. The 4-H Communications Contest is conducted for the purpose of promoting a greater interest in public speaking and to allow all 4-H members the opportunity to develop and polish their public speaking skills. 4-H members participated in categories such as Speech, Illustrated Presentation, PowerPoint, Character Contest, Extemporaneous, Individual Demonstration, and Team Demonstration. All 4-H members have the option to participate at the Southeast District Speech Contest that will be held in Ada, OK on April 17th. Congratulations to all those who participated!

Cloverbud: Grand Champion-Ronan Meo

Junior Demonstration: Grand Champion- Aubrey Orr, Reserve Grand Champion- Haylin Hartin, Aspen Elrod, and Avery Elrod

Intermediate Character Contest: Grand Champion- Denver Elrod

Intermediate Team Demonstration: Grand Champion- Zoey Goff and Zeplyn Thomas

Intermediate Speech: Grand Champion- Jackson Harper

Intermediate Power- Point: Grand Champion- Barrick Idell

Intermediate Illustrated Presentation: Grand Champion- Trevor Meo, Reserve Grand Champion- Leah Meo, and Brylee Watkins

Senior Illustrated Presentation: Grand Champion- Samantha Hunt, Reserve Grand Champion- Colton Hunt

Senior Extemporaneous: Grand Champion- Eli West, Reserve Grand Champion- Samantha Hunt, and Chance Whitman
