The Texoma Fire Department hosted a Texoma Park RoadtrashpickuponNovember 4. Nine people consisting of firemen, board members and volunteers picked up trash from Alberta Creek Road to Chaparral Lane, a distance of two miles. Afterwards, a delicious breakfast was provided by the TFD.
Our next fundraiser will be November 11, 2023. The Rummage and Bake Sale inside Tables are available for $20 from Marie Burley (405) 834-5675.Get yours now while they are still available. We will be selling fire blankets and T-shirts, long and short sleeved.
TheTexomaFireAuxiliary meets the 3rd Monday of the month at 1:30 p.m. with a social gathering at 1 p.m. prior to the meeting. The next meeting will occur on Monday,November19,2023. The Texoma Fire District Board of Directors meets the first Thursday of the Month at the Training/ Community Center located at 10978 Parkview at 6:30 p.m. The next meeting will be November 2, 2023. All are welcome to attend.
The Exercise/Stretching classes are on Monday and Wednesday at 10 a.m. Cards/ Games are on the second and fourth Tuesday at 12:40 p.m. Auxiliary members are welcome to join in the fun.
For anybody interested in renting the Texoma Community Building, Contact Gayla Freeman at 580-565-4043. She will get right back with you. The cost is $75 per day and they must be a member of the Texoma Fire District to rent the building. Capacity for the building is 158.
The Lighthouse Methodist Church located at 4923 Alberta Creek Road provides an evening meal from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Lighthouse Kids Program for grade school children consisting of Bible stories, crafts and games is held each Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. prior to the meal.
The Thanksgiving meal will be served November 15 at 5 p.m. All are welcome to attend. Margaritas are still 1/2 price all day every Tuesday at Gecko’s on Hwy 70 east of Kingston.
