Ah, Thanksgiving. The day to give thanks for our families, warm homes and other perks we as citizens get to relish in.

What better way to end the day of giving thanks, then to roll it right into Black Friday? I mean, we should all give thanks for the wonderful deals and the opportunities to take advantage of them, right?

We should be thankful for the retail employees who put up with crazy consumers.

We should be thankful that some of the sales begin on Thanksgiving night, for the people who have awakened from their turkey coma.

We should also be thankful for the fights and riots that happen around those good deals that millions of people can’t seem to pass up, right? Wrong!

How is it possible that complete strangers will duke it out over a My Little Pony playhouse while their children are watching in horror? This year’s Black Friday was just as tumultuous as any other Black Friday event in the past.

In Moline, Illinois, police officers had to step in during a sale when the crowd became too hard to handle. This happened at a Wal-Mart, people!

The Galleria Mall in Roseville, California had a similar situation. Three men apparently began actually fist fighting over an item.

An item that was probably only marked down a few dollars.

A riot over waffle irons broke out in a Wal-Mart in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Some people are taking to a shocking level.

At a Franklin Mills Mall in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, somebody brought out a stun gun when the crowd became too much.

A shopper in Fremont, California thought they had a sure-fire way to empty the store, making it easier to get a hold of the amazing deals. An anonymous consumer yelled “shooter” in a busy Target, sending shoppers running for cover.

I don’t know about you, reader, but I don’t care how awesome the sales are, nothing is worth getting trampled, jumped, or scared into a heart attack.

I will just buy my stuff from a regular sales bin.
