JD Runyan

John Runyan is the son of Shawn and Kristyn Runyan and Nola and Seve Pierman as well as the grandson of Sandra Runyan, Deloris Monetatchi, and John Runyan. He is a multi-talented senior at Madill High School with a passion for sports.

He participates in football, basketball, baseball, and archery, showcasinghisdedication andversatility.Throughout his high school journey, Runyanhasachievednotable recognition, including winning the “31” award and being named student of the month in November. While Runyan has faced various challenges, he said one of the most significant was the decision to leave his teammates and family at Ada. However, he reflected that he is glad he made the choice, suggesting that it has brought him new opportunities and growth. Among his favorite memories, he said he cherishes the victory over Kingston in basketball at their home court. He reminisced that the exhilaration of that moment remains etched in his mind, highlighting the thrill of competition and teamwork. When it comes to sources of inspiration, Runyan said he attributes his father as the person who motivates him in sports.
