ALLSUSPECTSAREINNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY IN A COURT OF LAW.

David Glasgow, a 66-yearold male from Madill was arrested on March 30 after an investigation into a possible sex crime. What makes this incident different was how Glasgow was caught.

Bikers Against Predators is an organization based out of northern Indiana who makes it their lifes’ work catching sexual predators. Investigators from the organization caught wind of a possible sexual crime happening in Marshall County and sprung into action.

Boots, the organization’s president, flew down from Indiana to look into the incident. The incident was the possibility that Glasgow was talking to an 11-year-old girl about sexually explicit things. According to Boots, Glasgow was trying to meet the child at the Madill Mc-Donald’s.

Once Boots flew into Marshall County, he paid Glasgow a visit to get his side of the story. Boots approached Glasgow and asked if he could ask him a few questions.

The pair went into Glasgow’s residence and after Boots asked permission to video the interview, he began asking the suspect some questions. Boots asked Glasgow if he knew the girl, and the suspect first claimed that she was his granddaughter.

After getting Glasgow to admit that she wasn’t his granddaughter, Boots asked him why he was talking to an 11-year-old child. According to the video, Glasgow said he was trying to be the girl’s mentor and keep her out of trouble.

“I was seeing if I could help,” he said.

BootsallegedthatGlasgow was doing and saying inappropriate things in the messages. He then told Glasgow that talking to the child sexually and showing her explicit photos of himself is not what a mentor does. Boots also alleged that Glasgow asked for sexually explicit photos from the child.

“These messages don’t reflect that you’re trying to be a coach and mentor,” Boots said.

Boots then asked if Glasgow had kids, and the suspect informed Boots that he did in fact have two grown sons.

In the live feed, Boots read some of the messages that Glasgow allegedly sent the child.Thereweresomepretty sexually explicit messages, and all Glasgow said was “ok”.Heneverdeniedsending them in the video.

Boots kept trying to get Glasgow to explain his reasoning behind the messages, and all he said was he was trying to help. Once he became frustrated with Boots, he told him there was “no need for more conversation” on the subject.

Boots then asked what he would do if he had a young daughter and somebody spoke to her like he allegedly did to the child.

“I would shoot him and let her mom know what’s going on,” Glasgow said in the video.

Glasgow also informed Boots that this isn’t the first time he’s been accused of something like this. Approximately 10 years ago, his stepdaughter accused Glasgow of trying to have sex with her 11-year-old stepdaughter. Glasgow said that no police reports were made and nothing came of the claim.

Just a mere 30 minutes after Boots concluded the interview, things became really weird. While Boots was at the Madill Police Department filling out a police report, Glasgow messaged the 11-year-old girl, wanting to meet her at McDonald’s again.

Boots showed up at Mc-Donald’sandcaughtGlasgow looking for somebody. Boots approached the suspect and asked why he was there. Glasgow told Boots to leave him alone and that he was wanting to meet with the 11-year-old to “clear things up.”

However, what Glasgow didn’t know was that Boots wasgettingthemessagesand saw everything that Glasgow was saying to the child.

Allegedly, he told the child thatBootswasabad guy, and they needed to be careful.

“Pete [Boots] got a cat and mouse game started with the Madill Police Department and himself,” Glasgow allegedly texted. “We must be careful.”

Apparently, getting caught twice wasn’t enough for Glasgow, because even after getting approached by Boots at McDonald's, the suspect began texting the child again and was warning her of possibly getting in trouble.

“Can’t come to my house,” he allegedly texted, “that is trouble for us baby.”

While Boots was doing the final live feed about the incident, many residents were concerned as to why Glasgow wasn’t arrested yet. Boots informed them that there is a certain process they had to follow to make sure there was a solid case and the suspect didn’t get to walk on a technicality.

“It’s about due process and building a strong case,” Boots said. “The police have to watch all of the videos and read all of the messages.”

Investigating cases like this one takes time. Then, they have to ask for a warrant.

Boots said that even though they are based out of Indiana, they catch predators from all over. He flew to Marshall County because Glasgow was allegedly adamant about meeting up with an 11-year-old child for sexual purposes.

In an ironic twist during the interview between Boots and Glasgow, the suspect claimed to have played a critical role in stopping sex trafficking back when he was an over the road truck driver.

Boots said it is important to protect children from predators and monsters.

“I think a lot of these kids can be preyed upon, and it happens way more than anyone is reporting,” Boots said.

Madill Chief of Police Donnie Raley said the evidence that BAP brought them was helpful to the investigation.

'We wanted to review the conversations, the pictures, the videos that had taken place to make sure we had proper evidence to go ahead and execute number one, an arrest, and number 2, a search warrant,' Raley said in an interview with KXII.

Glasgow is currently facing charges for Lewd or Indecent Proposals to a Child.
