NealeBensonMathis,78,ofLebanon,Okla.passedaway on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at his home in Lebanon. He wasborn onMarch 31, 1946,inOklahoma City, Okla. to the late Marion Benson Mathis and Mary Jane Elliott Mathis.

Neale was raised in Midwest City and graduated from Carl Albert High School in 1964. He served several years in the United States Navy. Neale married Barbara June Moore on September 2, 1972, in Oklahoma City. They lived in Oklahoma City, Okla., and Yukon, Okla.

In 1986, they moved to Lebanon, for several years before being transferred to Big Spring Texas. In 1998, they returned to Lebanon where he lived the rest of his life. Neale worked for Bells, Imtec and retired in 2011 from 3M Corp.

He was a member of the Lebanon Christian Fellowship Church and enjoyed working in his garden, woodworking and bragging about his grandkids.

Neale was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Sheila Thompson.

He is survived by his wife: Barbara Mathis of Lebanon, Okla.; son, Mike Mathis and wife Christie of Lebanon, Okla.; grandchildren, Jared Mathis, Conner Mathis, and Kenzie Mathis; siblings, Carey Mathis and wife Maggie of San Antonio, Texas and Gene Mathis of Lebanon, Okla.; brother in-law, Jim Thompson of Lebanon, Okla.
