On Monday, April 12, 2021, the Madill Wildcats baseball hosted the Plainview Indians. In the first inning, the Wildcats held the Indians to a walk and three consecutive outs. Steven Sisco was up to bat first for the Wildcat, and grounded an out to third base. Cash Coble singled on a fly ball to left field. Case Coble hit a fly ball out to centerfield and Ty Rushing struck out.

The second inning started with Plainview getting a walk, a hit to second base, another walk and then three consecutive outs. Caden McHatton singled on a ground ball to second base. Houston Stephenson popped an out in foul territory to first base. Brylee Bruster struck out.

The Indians had two outs, a single on a ground ball, and another out to begin the third quarter. Griffin Williams grounded an out to second base. Jackson Roberts popped a fly ball out to left field. Sisco singled a ground ball to left field. Cash Coble popped an out in foul territory caught by the Plainview catcher.

Madill’s defense held the Indians to an out, a walk, another out, a single, and a third out in the fourth quarter. Case Coble singled a hard ground ball to left fiel and. Rushing struck out. McHatton was out at centerfield with a pop fly. Cash Coble scored, putting the Wildcats on the scoreboard first. Then, Stephenson struck out.

The fifth inning started with Plainview getting three runs. Bruster struck out then Williams singled on the ground ball. Roberts and Sisco both had fly balls for an out.

Madill’s defense could not stop Plainview the start of the sixth inning allowing the Indians to score once again. Cash Coble hit a ground ball to first base and was out. Case Coble walked and Rushing hit a fly ball out to left field. McHatton and Stephenson both struck out.

The Indians scored once again to start the seventh inning. Bruster struck out then Williams singled on ground ball to the shortstop. Roberts and Sisco both hit a ground ball to the shortstop and were out. Plainview won 5 to 1.

On Tuesday, April 13, the Wildcats traveled to Plainview to play the Indians once again. To start the first inning, Sisco singled on a fly ball to left field. Cash Coble popped an out to centerfield. Case Coble hit an out to the shortstop and Rushing walked and was out stealing the bases. Plainview got on the scoreboard first with one run.

McHatton kicked off the second inning by singling on a ground ball to second base. Stephenson popped a fly ball and was out in foul territory at first base. Williams grounded an out to first base then Bruster grounded an out to the shortstop. Madill’s defense holds Plainview to three consecutive outs.

The third inning started when Arturo Gomez grounded an out to second base. Sisco doubled on a fly ball. Cash Coble hit a fly ball to right field allowing Sisco to score. Case Coble had a double play to the shortstop for two outs. Madill’s defense once again held the Indians to consecutive outs.

Rushing struck out to begin the fourth inning. McHatton singled on a ground ball to centerfield and Stephenson grounded an out to the shortstop. Williams popped a fly ball out to first base. Plainview was held to a scoreless inning.

The fifth inning started when Bruster popped an out to second base. Gomez singled on a ground ball to centerfield. Sisco popped an out in the field area caught by the catcher and Cash Coble grounded an out to second base. Once again, the Indians are held to a scoreless inning.

Case Coble grounded an out to the shortstop for the sixth inning start. Rushing singled a line drive to left field and McHatton grounded a double play to the shortstop and was out. Rushing was out advancing to second base. Plainview scored three runs.

The Wildcats tried to take the lead in the seventh inning when Stephenson grounded an out to third base. Williams singled on a ground ball to third base. Bruster singled on a ground ball to the shortstop and Roberts was hit by the pitcher. Sisco was also hit by the pitcher but Williams scores. Cash Coble grounded an out to first base but Bruster and Roberts both scored. Case Coble popped an out to leftfield. Despite the effort, the Wildcats lost 3 to 4.
