Texoma Southern Baptist Church perseveres

In March 2022, a tornado tore through the Buncombe Creek area and destroyed Texoma Southern Baptist Church in its path of destruction. WiththehelpoftheShay and Enos community, the Texoma Southern Baptist is still holding services and is lookingforwardtotherebuild in 2024.

With the dedication of church members and the support of Enos and Shay community leaders, the church is continuing to hold services even while being spread out across the area to keep their gospel mission alive. The Shay Community Center allows the church to have worship service at the center on Sunday mornings and Sunday nights.

For Sunday school, the church meets in members’ homesandWednesdaynights and the youth meet at the Enos Community Center.

TexomaSouthernBaptist Church wanted to extend their deepest gratitude to the Enos and Shay community for continuing to keep Texoma Southern Baptist going. Their mission and goals are to help the Enos and Shay community youth with programs and outreach missions.

With the help of the community, the church has been keptaliveandTexomaSouthern Baptist Church wanted the community to know how much they appreciate them and look forward to the day when they are in their new building.
