Marshall County dubbed Second Amendment Sanctuary County

On February 18, the Marshall County Sheriff Danny Cryer made a declaraton supporting the Second Amendment, naming Marshall County a Second Amendment Sanctuary.

In the proclamation, Cryer declared his intnet to “oppose any and all infringements on the rights and liberties of the law-abiding citizens to keep and bear arms using such leagal means as may be expedient, including, without limitation, and court action.”

He also declared that “no public funds will be used in any manner to retrict the Second Amendment rights of the citizens ot Marshall County, or to aid federal, State, or any municipal agencies in the restriction of said rights.”

Once Cryer penned the declaration, he had it added to the Marshall County Commissioners agenda for the Febuary 24 meeting. The commissioners read Cryer’s declaration and voted unamimously to accept the declaration.

At the meeting, the agenda was read in full and upon motion by Josh Cantrell, and seconded by Don “Salty” Melton, the resolotion was adopted.
