SOUTHEAST

Arbuckle: January 4. Elevation 1/2 ft. above normal, water 48 and clear. Largemouth bass excellent on Alabama rigs, rattletraps and shaky head worms. Smallmouth bass good on Alabama rigs, chartreuse crankbaits and spinnerbaits. Crappie very good on spoons with jig at 38-60 ft. in the middle of the lake. White bass up creeks on flats. Blue River: January 7. Elevation normal, water 45 and clear. Trout excellent on in-line spinnerbaits, midges, nymphs, PowerBait and super dupers along the river channel, concentrate behind current breaks in the river below the falls. PowerBait color of choice seems to be chartreuse or red fished at 10-18 inches off the bottom. Spin fishermen throwing gold super dupers with a slow retrieve are doing well as are silver cast masters. Flies that have been working this week are salmon or red egg patterns, midges in the afternoon, San Juan worms and various nymphs. Broken Bow: January 6. Elevation above normal, water clear. Largemouth, smallmouth and spotted bass good on crankbaits and spoons around points. Channel catfish fair on chicken liver and punch bait along channels, in coves and river channel. Report submitted by Dru Polk, game warden stationed in McCurtain County.

Eufaula: January 3. Elevation normal, water murky. Blue and channel catfish good on dough bait, goldfish and worms along channels, main lake and river mouth. Crappie slow on jigs and minnows in coves and around docks. Largemouth bass fair on in-line spinnerbaits, minnows and plastic baits in coves, shallows, shorelines and standing timber. Hugo: January 3. Elevation above normal, water 52 and murky. Blue, channel and flathead catfish good on cut bait, dough bait, live bait, shad, stinkbait and sunfish below the dam, main lake and river channel and standing timber. Konawa: January 2. Elevation normal, water 47 and clear. Largemouth bass good on Alabama rigs, crankbaits, jerk baits, lipless baits and plastic baits around points, river channel and weed beds. Striped bass hybrids and white bass fair on Alabama rigs, crankbaits and live shad in coves, main lake and river channel. Lower Mountain Fork: January 3. Elevation normal, water clear. Trout good on plastic baits and PowerBait below the dam, along creek channels and spillway. Report submitted by Mark Hannah, game warden stationed in McCurtain County.

Pine Creek: January 3. Elevation normal, water clear. Largemouth bass good on plastic baits and spoons around points. Crappie good on jigs around brush structure and points. Robert S. Kerr: January 3. Elevation above normal, water murky. Crappie good on hair jigs, minnows and tube jigs around brush structure, channels, creek channels, inlet and standing timber. Blue and channel catfish good on cut bait, dough bait, punch bait, shad and stinkbait along channels, flats, inlet, river channel and river mouth. Sardis: January 2. Elevation above normal, water 53. Largemouth and spotted bass fair on bill baits, crankbaits, jigs, plastic baits, slabs and spinnerbaits around brush structure, points, riprap, rocks, shorelines and standing timber. Blue and channel catfish fair on cut bait and shad along channels, flats and main lake. Crappie fair on minnows, jigs and tube jigs around brush structure, creek channels, points and standing timber. Texoma: January 3. Elevation normal, water 48. Striped bass fair on live shad along flats, main lake and points. Blue catfish good on cut bait and shad along flats, main lake, points and river channel. Crappie fair on hair jigs, minnows and tube jigs around brush structure and docks. Striper fishing has been tough the past week on the lake; the fish that are being caught have been on live bait. Anglers should focus their fishing around the island areas. Blue cats are biting well on fresh caught bait. Anglers using juglines should focus on deep water transitions approximately 50 feet of water. Crappie fishing beneath docks, anglers should focus at 20-30 feet of water slow retrieve with pink/black or orange/green jigs. Wister: January 3. Elevation above normal, water cloudy. Largemouth and spotted bass fair on bill baits, lipless baits and spinnerbaits along channels, in coves and points. Blue and channel catfish fair on chicken liver, cut bait, hotdogs, shad and stinkbait below the dam, brush structure, main lake and points. Crappie fair on minnows and jigs around brush structure, channels, in coves, points, standing timber and cedar brush. Report submitted by Thomas Gillham, game warden stationed in LeFlore County.

NORTHEAST

Greenleaf: January 7. Elevation normal, water 49 and clear. Blue and channel catfish fair on cut bait along flats. Crappie slow on minnows around brush structure and docks. Report submitted by Josey Branch, game warden stationed in Muskogee County.

Kaw: January 7. Elevation normal, water upper 30s and stained. Crappie good on jigs, live bait, minnows and tube jigs around brush structure, in coves, creek channels, riprap and standing timber. Blue and channel catfish excellent on cut bait, punch bait, shad and sunfish along channels, flats, inlet, main lake, river channel, river mouth and tailwaters. Striped bass hybrids and white bass fair on hair jigs, live shad and sassy shad below the dam. Report submitted by Spencer Grace, game warden stationed in Kay County.

Keystone: January 2. Elevation above normal, water clear. Blue catfish good on cut bait below the dam. Report submitted by Karlin Bailey, game warden stationed in Creek County.

Lower Illinois: January 3. Elevation normal, water 50 and clear. Trout fair on in-line spinnerbaits and PowerBait below the dam and Watts area. Water flow is now 4000 cfs around the clock due to elevation increase in the lake from recent rain. Report submitted by Brek Henry, game warden stationed in Sequoyah County.

McMurtry: January 6. Crappie good on minnows and jigs around docks, dams and brush piles. Report submitted by Lake McMurtry Staff.

Perry CCC: January 6. Elevation below normal, water murky. Trout fair on Power-Bait and small lures in coves and along the dam. Fishing on bottom with PowerBait has proven itself successful. Small lures such as rooster tails and super dupers have provided good success for many anglers as well. Report submitted by Stephen Paul, game warden stationed in Noble County.

Sooner: January 6. Elevation normal, water murky. Striped bass hybrids fair on live shad in the main lake. Saugeye fair on jerk baits and live bait around points and riprap. Report submitted by Stephen Paul, game warden stationed in Noble County.

Tenkiller: January 6. Elevation normal, water 30s and cloudy to clear. Largemouth bass and spotted bass fair on crankbaits and small lures around brush structure, docks and standing timber. Crappie good on minnows and jigs around brush structure and docks. Channel and blue catfish fair on chicken liver, cut bait and live shad around docks. Fishing activity is slow but those fishermen that were checked reported some success with crappie being the most sought after species. Webbers Falls: January

7. Elevation above normal, water 48 and murky. Blue and channel catfish good on cut bait below the dam, along channels, in coves, creek channels, dam, flats, main lake and points. NORTHWEST

Foss: January 6. Elevation 1/2 ft. below normal, water lower 40s and clear. Striped bass hybrids slow to fair on slabs in deep water. Walleye slow on live bait. Crappie fair on jigs and live bait around docks. Catfish fair. Report submitted by Eric Puyear, B & K Bait House.

Ft. Supply: January 7. Elevation above normal, water clear. Channel catfish slow on cut bait and hotdogs in the discharge and spillway. Report submitted by Jason Badley, game warden stationed in Harper County.

SOUTHWEST

Waurika: January 6. Elevation below normal, water mid-high 40s and clearing. Blue and channel catfish excellent on cut bait and live bait in the main lake and along shorelines.
