Here we are with November fast upon us. I just love the holidays with Thanksgiving turkey and all the trimmings just around the corner. But I regress, as All Hallows’ Eve hasn’t quite approached just yet. Please be mindful of children as they partake of the night’s festivities of Trick or Treat on Thursday, October 31.

There will be “Trick or Treat on the Square” in Madill for all to enjoy on Thursday night, October 31 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., so be sure to bring the kiddos!

The Buncombe Babe’s Red Hat group will be enjoying their monthly luncheon at Giovanni’s in Ardmore on Friday, November 1 at 11:00 a.m. and on Saturday, November 2 the Buncombe Creek Community Center will be host again to a night of Bingo starting with mini games at 6:30 p.m. and regular bingo at 7:30 p.m. It is a whole lot of fun, so come on down!

On November 30 starting at dusk, we will light up the Christmas Lights at the Buncombe Creek Marina, along with a bonfire, hot dogs, chili and all the condiments. It is free to everyone so come on down and enjoy the festivities. Bring a lawn chair and drinks.

The Texoma Southern Baptist Church in Buncombe Creek will be hosting their annual Church Wide Thanksgiving Dinner on Wednesday, November 13 starting at 6:00 p.m. They will provide Turkey, Ham, Dressing, rolls, etc. Everyone else will bring potluck.

Don’t forget Daylight Savings Time ends November 3, so be sure to turn your clocks back one hour on Saturday night before you go to bed.

Have a safe week.
