Watch out for the little ones, as the Kingston Public Schools will be dismissing students for fall break October 14 through October 16. Let’s hope the weather holds out for beautiful fall days during much of October.
This coming weekend, by sure to attend the Buncombe Creek Volunteer Fire Departments Open House being held on Saturday, October 17from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. There will be free hot dogs, chips, and cookies. Also, the Kingston Pharmacy will be giving flu shots (bring ID & insurance cards).
The Buncombe Creek Ladies Auxiliary will be enjoying lunch at the Sirloin Stockade in Ardmore on Tuesday, October 20 at 11:30 p.m. This is the one time a year the gals get to go out to eat rather than participate in a potluck at the center. Hope all members can attend.
Also, on the 20 at 7:00 p.m., the Fire Department will be having their monthly meeting at the fire hall. Everyone is welcome.
The Texoma Southern Baptist Church will have their “Open Arms Clothes Closet” from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m, on Saturday, October 17. There should be something for everyone, so don’t hesitate to check them out.
I heard the Anchor ‘N Restaurant just celebrated a year under the new management. Congratulations on a job well done. We have all heard good things about the food and service. Best of luck for prosperity in the years to follow. Also, the Marina has their new calendars out for next year.
