The Buncombe Babes Red Hat group will be meeting in Sherman at King’s Buffet for their monthly luncheon on Friday, March 5, 2021 at 11:00 a.m.
Be sure to mark your calendar for March 13, 2021 for the Sixth Annual “Burning of the Socks” and Swap to your Flip Flops event to be held at the Buncombe Creek Marina parking lot. The venue this year will be better than ever with the C7 band playing around 1:00 p.m.
There will be a free wiener roast, chili cook-off and Polar Plunge along with many other fun activities for everyone to enjoy. The event will kick-off at 11:00 a.m.
The committee is in need of volunteers to help make this fundraiser a success. Please contact D’Linda at 564-2543 or you can stop at the marina store. They also need auction items for their silent auction table. The proceeds will help benefit the BCVFD, the yearly fireworks display as well as the Lake Texoma Assoc. Be sure to help support this venture by attending.
During the event, the BC Ladies Auxiliary will be selling pop, baked goods, and crafts as a fundraiser to help support the various organizations and groups in the area. They will also have a Queen size quilt to raffle off with the winner being announced June 15, 2021.
Stop by their table at the “Burning of the Socks” event to purchase your quilt raffle and some goodies to take with you. The members of Jurassic Park will be there selling new 2021 Stickers as well as raffle tickets for an Axe Board with axes. This is a fundraiser for the park and all proceeds will help with keeping it up. Until next week, stay safe!
