Yes, the headline to this story is a reference to Monty Python. My dad’s late night PBS viewing in the late seventies eventually led to me becoming a fan of the British-American comedy troupe.

The time we spend with our families, friends and neighbors shapes who we are as people. The time we have together either in person or via video or phone call may be more vital than ever in these times of social distancing.

Almost one month ago to the day, we shared how the team at The Madill Record would share news that was coming faster than we could print it.

We’ve done our best to provide good information for you to read and digest.

And while we want you to stay informed, this week felt a little different. Maybe it was the holiday weekend or the space we’ve had to put between us.

With sports being on hold , we wanted to do something different for you, our readers. With that in mind, we’ve compiled some photos of things that happened around the community this week.

Some of it is Easter related and some it is not.

At the end of the day, we felt that everyone could use a little joy. So, we found some folks who are smiling and making the best of what has frankly felt like more than a month.

As a friend has said, “I feel like I’ve lived a year in the last month.”

I’m sure many of you can relate to that sentiment. We’re all tired and could use both a rest and getting things back to normal.
