The new year is upon us. TimetomakeourNewYear’s resolutions. Whether our resolutions be for weight loss, financial gain or personal growth, let there be kindness to those around us.
The Texoma Fire Auxiliary usually meets on the 3rd Monday of the month at 1:30 p.m. with a social gathering at 1 p.m. prior to the meeting. The January meeting will occur on Monday, January 15, 2024.
The Texoma Fire District Board of Directors meets the first Thursday of the Month at the Training/Community Center located at 10978 Parkview at 6:30 pm. The next meeting will be on January 4, 2924. All are welcome to attend.
The Exercise/Stretching classes are on Monday and Wednesday at 10 a.m. Cards/ Games are on the second and fourth Tuesday at 12 p.m. Auxiliary members are welcome to join in For anyone interested in renting the Texoma Community Building, Contact Gayla Freeman at 580-565-1400. Returncallsmightbedelayed as this is the Auxiliary phone and it is being monitored on a twice a week basis. So please give plenty of heads-up time. The cost is $75 per day. The building can only be rented by a member of the Texoma Fire District. Be advised, the capacity of the auxiliary building is 158.
The Lighthouse Methodist Church located at 4923 Alberta Creek Road provides an evening meal from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Lighthouse Kids Program for grade school children consisting of Bible stories, crafts and games is held each Wednesday 6 p.m. to 7p.m. following the meal.
Margaritas are still 1/2 price all day every Tuesday at Gecko’s on Hwy 70 east of Kingston.
