Howdy everyone! How about those Cowboys!!!! They are just playing so well, and no injuries. Let’s hope they can continue for the rest of the season...So proud!

Well we have had our fair share of rain again. But I still have things in my garden growing, so no complaints here, plus it is so much easier on the water bill. Hope everyone has enjoyed the summer and now we can look forward to the fall weather.

The TFD has had a quiet week. They are still working on the upcoming ISO.

Our Texoma Board meeting is scheduled for October 3, at 6:30 pm at the Texoma Community Center. The public is welcome.

We are with heavy heart that we have lost one of our dedicated officers from Kingston. Chief Canoe was a great friend to the Texoma Fire department and to us personally. He certainly served his term and served the city of Kingston well; he will truly be missed. Our prayers go out to his family.

The Ladies Auxiliary has had their elections and we now have a new president-Vangie Sutton, Vice President-Mary Green, Secretary-Merry Blevins, Treasurer- Linda Orrson. Others have taken new positions as Chairpersons of different committees. We welcome each and every one of the ladies. Looking forward to another great year!

Our ladies in charge of the Rummage/Bake Sale are in the process of getting everything set up for October 12, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. So mark your calendars and come get the homemade pies and cakes and all sorts of goodies. I will remind you again as the time gets closer.

Don’t forget to mail in your TFD memberships. Mark the spot for the ladies’ auxiliary and come and join us. Our new membership books are in the process of being put together with all the new information, so be sure to send it all in.

Also, remember the free dinner on Wednesday nights at the Lighthouse Methodist Church.

Until next week, stay safe and please keep our fire fighters in your prayers.
