Sage said his love for soccer stems from his grandfather, who introduced him to the sport and served as his inspiration.

Wildcat basketball seasons end

February 29 was a rollercoaster of emotions for Madill Basketball. The Lady Wildcats stunned 20th ranked Muldrow to advance in the playoffs, but the boys’ team was eliminated by Perkins-Tryon to end their impressive season.

Wildcat’s sports rich history

Madill track is the secondmost decorated sport in the Wildcats' history in terms of team titles with four combined state champion trophies. The 1964 boys track team won the state meet. The 1983, 1986 and 1988 Madill girls won state as a team.

Kingston teams fall just short of state tourney

Kingstonbasketballteams twice staved off elimination were unable to take the final step as each ended the season just one win from the Class 3A state tournament. TheLadyRedskinsgotthe offense untracked in posting a 65-44 victory over Heritage Hall and 50-35 against Lindsay but were stifled for the second time in just over a week by fifth-ranked Community Christian in a 46-29 loss.

Young Redskins ready for 2024 baseball season

With still an extremely youthful lineup this season, the Kingston Redskin baseball team hopes that young talent can translate into another solid playoff push. The Redskins welcome back just one senior from a 19-12 finish that ended in the Class 3A regional finals, but five sophomores return that gained valuable experience a year ago in their high school debuts.

Gracie Cryer is a senior at Kingston High School, and she is the daughter of Steven and Bobbie Cryer. Gracie has been on the Kingston Golf team since 6th grade. She said that playing sports has taught her that life is not always fair and even though things do not always go the way people want them to, they have to keep going.

Barns notches solo win in state wrestling

Facingruggedcompetition at the state wrestling tournament in Oklahoma City last weekend, wins were tough to come by for Madill wrestlers. The Wildcat grapplers finished with one triumph, which came in the boys’ division where sophomore Triston Barnes notched a 5-2 decision over Sallisaw’s Mason Duke in the opening round.
