Madill FFA members placing in contests

Madill FFA members recently participated in several contests. On November 9, members traveled to Wilburton, Okla. (EOSC campus) to participate in the American Farmers & Ranchers S.E. AREA Speech Contest.

Students participating were: Bria Tyner, Eeliah Love,JacksonHarper,Laney Rose, Maddie Miller, Lea Schultz.

Love placed 3rd in Intermediate Agriscience; Harper took 2nd in Int. Agribusiness; Rose placed 3rd in Sr. Agribusiness; Miller placed 3rd in Int. AFR/OFU; Schultz took 4th in Int. AFR/OFU.

Harper advanced to State at OSU on December 2.

Members of the Madill FFAagmechanicsteamtraveled to Canute and Marietta, Ola. in November.

At Canute, they took two projects. Ben Perkins, Chance Whitman, and Eli French placed 1st in the 6x10 trailer division. Second place in the picnic table division went to Abby Whitehead and Luz Gomez.

Several of the ag mechanics students then traveled to Marietta, Okla. to compete in the second annual Red River Rumble hosted by Marietta FFA.

Each team of two had to complete an H brace and T-post puller within a set time frame. Over 40 teams from Texas and Oklahoma competed. Placing 6th was Gomez and Tyce Pruitt. Also competing were Eli French, Chance Whitman, Isaac Grimaldo, and Rylan Arnold.
