The Lady Redskins travel led to Dale for a rare Saturday afternoon game. This was in lieu of the Dale tournament that was canceled due to covid-19 concerns. It was a longer ride home for the Redskins after falling 76 to 64.

First quarter action had Avri Weeks out of the gates fast. Dale girls could not stop her inside game. She was also active on defense with steals and rebounds. She tallied 13 total points.

Ryan Herndon followed her with 6 points of her own. That was it for the scoring but it was good enough for them to have a 19 to nine lead at the end of the quarter.

In the second, Weeks picked up her second foul and had to sit. Herndon continued her scoring with a three-pointer and a two field goals. She was one of four from the line. Ethel Stewart and Kira Price both had buckets off the bench. Emi O’Steen and Kamry Bohannon each had a free throw. Despite the 16 point quarter, Dale girls held a one point lead, 36 to 35 going into the halftime.

Third quarter action continued with the Lady Pirates scorching the nets. Weeks was back in action and had five points followed by Herndon, Raegan Davis, O’Steen, Bohannon and Weibner who all had buckets. Despite the effort, Dale led 50 to 60.

In the fourth quarter, Dale had the lead and did not give it up. Weeks fought hard with another stellar quarter with four field goals and two of two from the line. Bohannon and Davis both added buckets, but it was not enough to overturn the lead. The final score was Dale Lady Pirates 76 to Lady Redskins 64.
