The Kingston Girls’ Softball team went head-to-head with Marietta on September 15, 2020 and pulled out a shut-out game. Senior Blaklyn Barber, #15, pitched a near perfect game by not allowing Marietta to get one hit. Only one hit snuck by.

The Lady Redskins were on fire almost from the beginning. They scored five runs in the third inning. Senior Ryan Herndon, #20, freshman Emily Belletini, #19, sophomore Lanie French, #4, and Barber all had runs.

Barber was the star pitcher for the game. She lasted five innings, only allowing one hit and zero runs while walking one and striking out three. Kingston took the game with the final score of 12-0.

The Lady Redskins got a total of 13 hits. Junior Raegan Davis, #1, senior Kayte Auld, #12, French, and Barber all got multiple hits during the game.

The Lady Redskins kept their winning momentum into the Kingston v. Lindsay on September 17, 2020. Kingston came out swinging in the first inning, literally. Davis singled on a 1-0 count and scored two runs.

The fifth inning was the one with the most runs for Kingston. They had five runs when Barber, senior Emi O’Steen, #10, junior Bri Harkins, #42, Davis and Auld each had RBIs.

The star hitter for this game was Davis when she pulled out four hits, singling in the first, fourth, fifth and seventh innings. Barber shone in the pitcher’s circle, once again, surrendering three runs over 11 hits over seven innings. She struck out seven and walked one.

The Lady Redskins racked up 12 hits for the game, with Davis, Harkins and O’Steen each managing multiple hits. Kingston beat Lindsay 11-3.
