Zachary Levi Shannon 31, of Ardmore, Okla. passed away Saturday, October 31, 2020. He was born on August 19, 1989 in Ardmore to Tim Ray Shannon and Billie Alford Howell. Zach was raised in Dickson where he attended elementary school and moved to Madill where he graduated high school in 2008.

He later attended Neosho County Community College in Chanute, Kan. where he graduated with honors and was Academic All American in wrestling. Zack also attended Southeastern Oklahoma University where he received a bachelor’s degree in Psychology, and he was currently attending OU.

He married Devon Mae Woods on February 18, 2014 in Pauls Valley, Okla. Zack was a member of the First Baptist Church and was saved at the age of 10. He worked Carter County DHS for three years and later two years in Claremore, Okla. counseling children. Zack was currently working at CDC for Chickasaw Nation. He enjoyed reading, listening to podcast but his greatest joy was his daughter and anything to do with her.

He is survived by his wife Devon Woods of Norman, Okla., his daughter Zoee Mae Shannon of Norman, Okla., his parents; Brian K. Howell and Billie Jean Howell of Ardmore, Okla., his brother Timothy Zane Shannon-Howell and wife Nicole Chambless of Ardmore, Okla., his sisters; Destinee R. Allen and husband Jy Wayne of Ardmore, Okla, Bayleigh N. Howell and Jared Lane of Ardmore, Okla., grandparents; Bill Alford of Stratford, Okla., Dorothy Pontius and husband Travis Vaughn, three aunts; Rita Hoedebeck of Ardmore, Okla., Cassandra Elms of Stratford, Okla., and Shawna Pursiville, Stratford, Okla, three uncles:; Charles Shannon of Shawnee, Okla., Mike Howell of Ardmore, Okla., Kevin Howell of Ardmore, Okla., several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Zack was preceded in death by his father; Tim R. Shannon, grandparents; Zereda Magby, and Royce Shannon, several uncles and cousins.

Service will be Saturday, November 7, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at the Watts Memorial Chapel in Madill, Okla. Jim Yeager will officiate the service. Services will be under the direction of Watts Funeral Home in Madill, Okla. Condolences may be sent to wattsfuneralhome.com.
