Wanda Juanita O’Steen 89, of Kingston, Okla. passed away, July 21, 2020 at her home in Kingston. She was born on January 2, 1931 in Lebanon, Okla. to the late Dave Colson and Susie McKenzie Colson.

Wanda was raised and lived her entire life in Johnston and Marshall County. She married Harold Chester O’Steen Sr. on February 7, 1949 in Ardmore, Okla.

Over the years, Wanda worked as a Homemaker/Farmer, at the Madill and Marietta Pants Factory, Marietta Cookie Factory and she and her sister, Lou Gentry, cleaned the First National Bank.

Wanda was affiliated with the Baptist faith and she enjoyed gardening, and spending time visiting with family and friends. She loved cooking, canning and was known for her homemade cobblers, pies, and sweet tea.

She is survived by her children; Harold O’Steen Jr. of McMillan, Okla., Tommy O’Steen and wife Joyce of Marietta, Okla., Kathy Lott and husband Rick of Kingston, Okla., and Josh O’Steen and family; Brittany, Delton and Joshlyn of Kingston, Okla., 14 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren.

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son; Don O’Steen, two sisters; Lou Gentry and Iola Mae Catron, two brothers; Leon Colson and J. D. Colson and one daughter in-law; Levern O’Steen.

Visitation was held Friday, July 24 at Watts Funeral Home, Madill, Okla. from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a family hour from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Due to COVID-19 concerns, a private funeral was held

Due to COVID-19 concerns, a private funeral was held on Saturday, July 25, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. for immediate family, with graveside following at Lebanon Cemetery for others wanting to attend. Casket Bearers were John O’Steen, Brad O’Steen, Greg O’Steen, Delton O’Steen, Dusty O’Steen, Coltin Fincher, and Matthew O’Steen

Honorary Bearers were Chance Wilkinson, Bearette O’Steen, Kysen Fincher, and Waylon Lott.
