Ruby Helen Benton 84, of Fobb, Okla. passed away on May 8, 2020 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Texas. She was born on March 16, 1936 in Bragg City, Mo. to the late Clarence Melvin Riggs and Mildred Winberry Riggs. Ruby was raised in Bragg City until the age of 13 when she moved to Casa Grande, Ariz. She lived in Shawnee, Okla. before moving to Madill in 1973.

Ruby married Thomas “Tommy” Frank Benton on January 22, 1973 in Durant, Okla. She enjoyed crocheting, singing and was a very active member of the First Assembly of God Church in Madill where over the years she led worship, sang in the church choir, and taught Missionettes. Ruby loved her church family.

She is survived by her husband Tommy Benton of Fobb, Okla., children; Danny Elwood of Madill, Okl., Debbie Rogers of Madill, Okla., Diane Jones of White Hills, Ariz., eight grandchildren, ten great grandchilren and three great great grandchildren, her sister Marjorie Hawkins of Show Low, Ariz.

Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, one son; Duane C. Elwood, brother; Donald Riggs and sister; Opal Lawson.
