Linda Dell Talley Pierce was born December 8, 1948 in Wynnewood, Okla., the youngest of eight children to Harry and Delia Talley. Linda grew up in the Joy and Wynnewood areas and graduated from Wynnewood High School in 1967.

After High School, she attended East Central University and graduated with a degree in Accounting. During college, she met Mike Pierce and the two married on July 4, 1970; a union that would last until Mike’s death 48 years later. After college, they moved to the Dallas metroplex and started their family. Their son Chad was born in 1974 and Marcus joined the family two years later.

The family made several moves around North Texas and spent a couple of years in Atlanta, Ga. before settling in Madill in 1983. Linda was an exceptional stay at home mother while the boys were young, but shortly after moving to Madill, Linda began her 20+ year career as a Tax Auditor for the Oklahoma Employment Securities Commission.

After retiring, Linda enjoyed spending time with her granddaughters Avery and Whitney, sitting on the front porch with Mike watching their dogs and taking part in some epic trips with their friends Walt and Diane.

Linda is preceded in death by her husband Mike, son Chad, her parents and several siblings.

Linda is survived by her son Marc, his wife Alexis and granddaughters Avery and Whitney of Moore, Okla..
