Jimmy Luther Edwards, 83, of Madill, Okla. passed away Monday, January 11, 2021 at the hospital in Durant, Okla. He was born on February 1, 1937 in Greasy Bend, Okla. to the late Luther Boyd Edwards and Gertrude Walker Edwards. Jimmy was raised in Mannsville and attended Mannsville Schools. He lived most of his life in Mannsville where he worked as a rancher and later owned and operated Edwards Used Cars. Jimmy married Lucy Elizabeth Bates

Jimmy married Lucy Elizabeth Bates on June 17, 1977 in Mannsville. He has lived the past 10 years in Madill, and he was a member of the First Baptist Church in Mannsville. He loved cars and was a great businessman.

He is survived by his wife Elizabeth Edwards of Madill, Okla., daughter Anita Collins of Ardmore, Okla., his grandchildren; Misty Matlack of Mannsville, Okla., Amanda Rowe of Tishomingo, Okla., and Caitlin Vanet and husband Jay of Mannsville, Okla., great grandchildren; Nash, Cassidy and Cash Matlack, and sister Reba Woody and Husband James of Mannsville, Okla.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, and one daughter: Beverly Kay Higginbotham

Visitation will be Wednesday, January 13, 2021 from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Thursday, January 14 from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Watts Funeral Home in Madill, Okla.

Family has requested that funeral service be private due to COVID sickness. Services will be under the direction of Watts Funeral Home in Madill, Okla. Condolences may be sent to wattsfuneralhome.com.
