Elizabeth Ann McGahey 69, of Madill, Okla. passed away November 13, 2020 at the hospital in Madill. She was born on August 17, 1951 in Ardmore, Okla. to the late Robert Edward Hunt and Joyce Ann Behrens Hunt.

Gran, as she was called by her family, was raised in Ardmore and graduated from Ardmore High School in 1969. She married Willard Ray McGahey on March 22, 1969 in Ardmore.

Gran attended Southeastern Oklahoma State University in Durant where she received her master’s in educational counseling. They lived in Callisburg, Texas where she worked for the Callisburg Schools for several years before moving back to Madill in 1993. Gran was a member of the Willis Baptist Church and she enjoyed going to the casino, playing dominos, shopping and loved traveling with her family.

She is survived by her husband Ray McGahey of Madill, Okla., her children; Rae Ann Cook of Madill, Okla., and Alvin McGahey and wife Christi of Madill, Okla., son-in-law William Coleman of Madill, Okla., five grandchildren; mily Burns and husband Tucker, Molly Coleman, Madilyn Cook, Holden McGahey and Lauren McGahey, sisters; Mahota Martin of Lone Grove, Okla., Sue Bates of Ardmore, Okla., Sharon Bates of Madill, Okla., Carol Steudeman of Ardmore, Okla., and Gayla Lloyd of Wilson, Okla.

Gran was preceded in death by her parents, daughter; Joyce Coleman, brothers; Freddie Bearden and Raymond

Brewer and sister Reba Reuda.

Visitation was Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at Watts Funeral Home in Madill, Okla. from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a family hour from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Services were Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Watts Memorial Chapel in Madill, Okla. Eric Dennis officiated the service. Music was arranged by Christi and Lauren McGahey. Interment was at the Woodberry-Forest Cemetery in Madill, Okla. Services were under the direction of Watts Funeral Home in Madill, Okla. Condolences may be sent to wattsfuneralhome.com.

Casket Bearers were Kevin Robinson, Tucker Burns, William Coleman, Holden McGahey, Alvin McGahey, and Dennis Harmon.

Honorary Bearers were Madilyn Cook, Emily Burns, Lauren McGahey, and Molly Coleman.
