Eddie Ray Sikes age 71, passed away Thursday, March 5, 2020 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Texas. He was born December 13, 1948 to Ray Dell Sikes and Fannie Lee Weaver Sikes in Madill, Okla. Eddie was raised in Enos, but later moved to Grand Prairie, Texas where he attended high school.

He joined the United States Army and served for 13 years, in which he served two tours in Vietnam. Eddie married Bonnie Athine Watson on March 11, 1967 in Grand Prairie, Texas. After living on several military bases, while serving our country, Eddie and Bonnie made their home in Enos, Okla. in 1979.

Eddie began working for the Madill Police Department and retired in 1992. Eddie was ordained as a deacon on July 28, 2013 and served as the music director at the Enos Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing his guitar, and singing at local nursing homes. He loved spending time with his family and worshipping the Lord.

Eddie is survived by his wife Bonnie Sikes of Enos, Okla., children; Darla Raye Sikes and husband Dennis Hughes of Talala, Okla., Eddie Sikes and wife Tracy of Enos, Okla., Wendy Easley and husband Cody of Enos, Okla., nine grandchildren; Stacia Windle, Randy Adams, Amanda Hughes, Jennifer Moore, Ashly Kirk, Emily Sikes, Alyssa Medlock, Mallory Easley, and Luke Easley, ten great grandchildren, her mother Fannie Sikes of Enos, Okla., and brother and sister-in-law, Bobby Dean and Marlena Sikes of Enos, Okla.

Eddie will be forever remembered by his numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family, and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his father Ray Dell Sikes, one son; Ray Dell Sikes, daughter in-law; Kari Sikes, mother-in-law; Becky Romine, one brother Bruce Sikes and two sisters: Marcella Seidmeyer and Mary Elliott.

A celebration of Eddie’s life was held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 9, 2020 at the Watts Memorial Chapel, Madill, Okla. Bobby Waitman and Joe Patterson officiated the service. Music was arranged by Wendy Easley, Gena Waitman, and family. Interment was at the Lark Cemetery, Enos, Okla. under the direction of Watts Funeral Home, Madill, Okla.

Visitation was held Sunday, March 8, 2020 at the Watts Funeral Home, Madill, Okla. from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a family hour from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
