Donald Charles Hall 79, of Madill, Okla. passed away Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at the Carrus Hospital in Sherman, Texas. He was born on December 5, 1940 in Seminole, Okla. to the late Isacc Charles Hall and Jewel Jarnigan Hall. Don was raised in Russett where he graduated high school.
He married Kay Coleman in 1961 and from this union four children were born. He later married Patricia Shirk in June of 1984 in Sherman, Texas. Don worked for the Chapman Ranch during high school and later for Colvert’s Dairy. He went to work for Frisco Railroad in 1966 which later became Burlington Northern Railroad and retired after 30 years in 1994.
He was a dedicated member of the Church of Christ in Madill and he enjoyed maintenance around the church. Don was a godly man, an amazing fisherman, a wonderful carpenter, loved gardening and loved his family deeply.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia “Patti” Hall of Madill, Okla., his children; Gary Don Hall of Mannsville, Okla., Donella Jackson of Whitehouse, Texas, Larry Hall of Mannsville, Okla., Jason Hall and wife Adriana of Madill, Okla., Peter Rathbun and wife Kim of Oregon, Mark Rathbun and wife Janet of California, Joyce Harlow and husband Carl of Missouri, Chris Rathbun of Madill, Okla., Cathy Pilger and husband Scott of California, Alan Rathbun and wife Niki of California, Michael Hall and wife Alexx of Madill, Oklahoma, 17 grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, one great great grandchild.
Don was preceded in death by his parents and one great granddaughter: Emma Jo
The family and friends gathering was Saturday, September 19, 2020 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. and Sunday, September 20, 2020 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the family home, 24754 Hoedehal Dr, Madill, Okla.
