Laird
C. T. Laird 90, of Madill, Okla. passed away Friday, November 6, 2020 at the Alliance Hospital in Durant, Okla. He was born on August 9, 1930 in Shay, Okla. to the late C. M. Laird and Thelma Dobson Laird.
He was raised in Madill where he graduated high school. C. T. attended 2 years at Murray State College and worked 16 years as a Surveyor for the State of Oklahoma. He later worked 20 years for the Madill pants factory before he retired.
C. T. married Bernice Bishop on April 6, 1952 in Madill and she preceded him in death on December 20, 2001. He lived at Brookside Nursing Center for five years before moving to Blue River Nursing Center in Tishomingo where he lived the rest of his life. He was the member of the Nazarene Church in Madill and he enjoyed reading westerns, watching westerns movies, and visiting with people in Madill.
He is survived by his hildren; Ralph Laird of Texas, and Cathy Goodman of Madill, Okla., his grandchildren; Christina Laird and Michael Laird, one great grandchild, and his sister Dana Miller of Dierks, Ark.
C. T. was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and one sister.
Visitation will be Wednesday, November 11 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Watts Funeral Home in Madill, Okla.
Services will be Thursday, November 12, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at the Watts Memorial Chapel in Madill, Okla. Billy Harding will officiate the service. Services will be under the direction of Watts Funeral Home in Madill, Okla. Condolences may be sent to wattsfuneralhome.com.
