Betty Jo Morgan, 87 passed away Friday, November 20, 2020 at Ravenna Assisted Living in Albuquerque, N.M. She was born on March 2, 1933 in Powell, Okla. to the late J.W. Kidd & Mildred Owen Kidd. Betty was raised in Ravia, Okla. where she lived most of her life before moving to Madill. She married Jessy “Dick” Loyd Morgan on June 18, 1949 in Gainesville, Texas. She enjoyed spending time with her family, raising animals and playing piano at the church’s where Dick was preaching.
She is survived by her sons, Danny Morgan of Amarillo, Texas and Sammy Morgan and wife Mary of Louisville, Ky.; sister, Margie Lemons of Plainview, Texas; brother, Ronnie Kidd of Corpus Christi, Texas; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, her parents; one daughter, Dana Elam; one son-in-law, Dave Elam; two brothers, Coy and Roy Kidd.
Visitation will be Friday, November 27, 2020 at Watts Funeral Home in Madill, Okla. from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and a family hour from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Funeral services are at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 28, 2020 at the Watts Memorial Chapel in Madill, Okla. Mike Hobbs will officiate the services. Services will be under the direction of Watts Funeral Home in Madill, Okla. Condolences may be sent to wattsfuneralhome.com.
