Oklahoma Highway Patrol State Trooper Garrett Luke Schulze #765, a Kingston alumni, is coming back to Marshall and Johnson Counties. For the past three years and nine months, Schulze has been with Troop E in McCurtain County.

As reported in the July 30, 2020 issue of The Madill Record, Schulze is the only third generation state trooper. His father, Bruce, and grandfather, Gordon, were both state troopers.

Schulze will be driving the same highways as his late father. His late grandfather didn’t protect and serve Marshall County, but he retired asCommanderofthePawnee District.

Schulzeisa2013graduate of Kingston High School and a proud alumni member. Immediately after graduation, he entered the US Navy on the Delayed Entry Program (DEP). Schulze proudly served his country with five years of active duty service.

He was an Anti-terrorism, Anti-piracy Expeditionary Warfare Specialist. He reached the ran of First-Class E6.

Schulze has three years of college and his major was Criminal Justice.

He is the son of Rhonda Schulze of Kingston. His brothers are Aaron Means of Kingston and Micah Schulze of Canyon, Texas.

His late grandparents are Lee Roy and Millie Jo Armstrong of Kingston and Gordon B. and Selah Schulze of Durant.
