Come one and all. Lots of tasty treats and things you just can’t live without. There will be homemade Pecan Pies Yum!

The Texoma Fire District Auxiliary is hosting a Bake, Craft & Rummage Sale on Saturday, March 16 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Training/Community Center Building at 10978 Parkview in Kingston. For anybody who would like to register as a vendor for this event, contact Marie Burry at 405-834-5675 for a registration form.

The inside tables are $20 to rent. There will also be five outside spots for $20. The event will be inside, and space is limited, so register early. The deadline for registration is March 13.

The auxiliary met on Feb 19, 2024, with 21 people in attendance and all recited the Pledge of Allegiance.

Jennie D. presented a humorous reading. She also asked for continued prayers for her son, Monty.

Paula Hinge and Cheri Wineside were two new members who were welcomed by the group.

Merry Blevins of Merry Meadow Farms was the guest speaker. She spoke about the start of the farm and how much it has grown.

This is kidding season for the goats and prior to the meeting, she had to help deliver a goat kid. The farm is always open and welcomes visitors, educational field trips, and birthday parties.

There is a small Farm Store on site where they sell home made products such as goats milk soap, beeswax lotion bars, beard oils, lip balms and fresh local honey, eggs, duck eggs and fresh produce when in season.

Cyndi informed guests about a citizens Academy in Marshall County at the Sheriff s office.

The Door Prize was won by Tina. Kittie and Jeannie had a birthdays this month, and they picked a gift from the box.

There were 26 calls; five fires with two being structure fires. Twenty one of the calls were medical.

The Texoma Fire Auxiliary usually meets on the third Monday of the month at 1:30 p.m. with a social gathering at 1 p.m. prior to the meeting. The next meeting will occur on Monday, March 18, 2024 The Texoma Fire District Board of Directors meets the first Thursday of the month at the Training/ Community Center located at 10978 Parkview at 6:30 p.m. The next meeting will be on March 7, 2024. All are welcome to attend The Exercise/Stretching classes are on Monday and Wednesday at 10 a.m. Cards/ Games are on the second and fourth Tuesday at 12 p.m. Auxiliary members are welcome to join in For anyone interested in renting the Texoma Community Building, Contact Gayla Freeman at 580-565-1400. Return calls might be delayed as this is the Auxiliary phone and it is being monitored on a twice a week basis. So please give plenty of heads-up time. The cost is $75 per day. The building can only be rented by a member of the Texoma Fire District. Be advised, the capacity of the auxiliary building is 158.

The Lighthouse Methodist Church located at 4923 Alberta Creek Road provides an evening meal from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Lighthouse Kids Program for grade school children consisting of Bible stories, crafts and games is held each Wednesday 6 p.m. to 7p.m. following the meal.

Margaritas are still 1/2 price all day every Tuesday at Gecko’s on Hwy 70 east of Kingston.
