The Auxiliary met July 17, 2023 with 16 members present all saying the Pledge of Allegiance. The Humorous Reading was given by Sandy Bumgarner. Brenda Elledge won the door prize.
The TFD Liaison reported therewere20EMRandseven fires last month. She also reported that the capacity for of the auxiliary building is 158 and that should be a consideration when renting the building.
Cyndi Reed and Linda Orrson’s birthdays were celebrated with a gift and a round of “Happy Birthday'. Refreshments were provided by Gayla Freeman and Monica Lytle.
Paula Zimmerman reported thattheStormShelter Rebatewouldnotbeavailable for two years. The Spaghetti Meal will be September 16, 2023. TheAuxiliarywillstart welcoming guest speakers from the community. The first scheduled speaker will be Michele Moore, owner of Gecko’s Restaurant.
The Auxiliary meets the third Monday at 1:30 p.m. with a social gathering preceding the meeting at 1 p.m. The next meeting will occur on July 17, 2023.
The Texoma Fire District Board of Directors meets the first Thursday of the Month at the Training/Community Center located at 10978 Parkview at 6:30 p.m.
The next meeting will be June 1, 2023. All are welcome to attend.
The Exercise/Stretching classes are on Monday and Wednesday at 10 a.m. Cards/ Games are on the second and fourth Tuesday at 12:40 p.m. Auxiliary members are welcome to join in the fun.
For anybody interested in renting the Texoma Community Building, Contact Gayla Freeman at 580-565-4043. She will get right back with you. The cost is $75 per day and they must be a member of the Texoma Fire District to rent the building.
The Lighthouse Methodist Church located at 4923 Alberta Creek Road provides an evening meal from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Lighthouse Kids Program for grade school children consisting of Bible stories, crafts and games is held each Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. prior to the meal.
