The TFD Auxiliary meeting was called to order at 1:30 p.m. on April 22, 2024. There were 16 members present and all recited the Pledge of Allegiance.
The guest Speaker was Donna Bearden, co-chair of KingstonPlaceMakingCommittee. Theymeetthesecond Wednesday of every month at the first United Bank in Kingston at 12 noon. Linda O. won the door prize.
Susan Seals and Nancy A. had a birthday this month andpickedagiftfromthebox.
Lisa took down the Easter decorations but left the greens, flowers and butterflies for spring. Lisa sent out eight birthday cards and one condolence card to the Molly Croasdale family.
The historian noted that more pictures are needed. Cyndi Reed sent email reminders for the meeting.
Brenda thanked Sheila and Becca for providing refreshments.
The Pile On is coming up on June 1, 2024. Nancy created flyers for the event. Raffle tickets should be ready soon and will be sold at the Mexican Pile On.
It was suggested that the organization have a website or Facebook group to post events and meetings. That will be discussed at the next meeting.
TheTexomaFireAuxiliary usually meets on the 3rd Monday of the month at 1:30 p.m. with a social gathering at 1 p.m. prior to the meeting. The next meeting will occur on Monday, May 20, 2024.
The Texoma Fire District Board of Directors meets the 1st Thursday of the Month at the Training/Community Center located at 10978 Parkview at 6:30 p.m. The next meeting will be on May 2, 2024. All are welcome to attend.
The Exercise/Stretching classes are on Monday and Wednesday at 10 a.m. Cards/ Games are on the second and fourth Tuesday at 12 p.m. Auxiliary members are welcome to join in For anyone interested in renting the Texoma Community Building, Contact Gayla Freeman at 580-565-1400. Returncallsmightbedelayed as this is the Auxiliary phone and it is being monitored on a twice a week basis. So please give plenty of heads-up time. The cost is $75 per day. The building can only be rented by a member of the Texoma Fire District. Be advised, the capacity of the auxiliary building is 158.
The Lighthouse Methodist Church located at 4923 Alberta Creek Road provides an evening meal from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Lighthouse Kids Program for grade school children consisting of Bible stories, crafts and games is held each Wednesday 6 p.m. to 7p.m. following the meal.
