TFD: Bake sale scheduled

The Texoma Fire District Auxiliary will host a bake, craft and rummage sale on Saturday, March 16 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. m. to 4:00 p.m. m. at the community/training center building at 10978 Parkview in Kingston, near the Rooster Creek Bridge. For anyone wishing to register as a vendor for this event, please contact MarieBurry at 405-834-5675 for a registration form.

The event will be indoors and space is limited, so register in advance. The deadline is March 13.

Vendor tables can be rented for $20.00 per table to display your products. Outdoor space can also be rented for $20.00. These spots could be for parking a truck or trailer for outside sales.

The Texoma Fire Auxiliary generally meets on the third Monday of the month at 1:30 p.m. with a social meeting at 1 p.m., prior to the meeting. The next meeting will take place on Monday, March 18, 2024. The Texoma Fire District Board of Directors meets the first Thursday of the month at the Community/Training Center located at 10978 Parkview at 6:30 p.m. The next meeting will be March 7, 2024. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Exercise/stretch classes are Mondays and Wednesdays at 10 a.m. m. Cards/games are the second and fourth Tuesdays at 12 p.m. m. Auxiliary members are welcome to join. For anyone interested in leasing the Texoma Community Building, please contact Gayla Freeman at 580-565-1400. Returning calls may be delayed as this is the backup phone and is being monitored twice a week. So please give enough notice. The cost is $75 per day. The building can only be rented by a member of the Texoma Fire District. Attention, the capacity of the auxiliary building is 158 people.

Lighthouse Methodist Church, located at 4923 Alberta Creek Road, offers dinner from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. The Lighthouse Kids program for elementary school children consisting of Bible stories, crafts and games takes place every Wednesday at 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. after lunch.

Margaritas are still half price all day every Tuesday at Gecko's on Highway 70 east of Kingston.
