A local man was arrested on June 22 after calling deputies about removing a female from his property.

This story begins on May 5, at approximately 10:00 a.m., when Marshall County Sheriff Cryer and Undersheriff Damon Robinson were dispatched to a disturbance call on Rattler Ridge Road.

Preston Chill, a 19-year-old from Kingston was the reporting party, and said he had called the officers in hopes to getting a female subject removed from his property.

Cryer and Robinson made contact with Chill at the Sonic Drive-In. That was when he informed the officers that he wanted the female subject off of his property.

He also informed the officers she was in her car at the old bank building.

Cryer noticed that Chill was covered in sweat and had mild scratches across his face and nose.

Cryer inquired as to where the scratches came from and Chill simply answered by telling the officers to speak with the female.

Cryer and Robinson made contact with the female, as she was waiting in the old bank building parking lot.

The female exited her vehicle and Cryer noted obvious signs of a physical altercation.

While speaking with the female, it was very apparent that the two (Chill and the female subject) had both been in a physical domestic altercation.

Robinson returned to the Sonic to speak with Chill further, unfortunately, he had already left the area.

Robinson began to search the area for Chill while Cryer stayed behind to collect evidence and a statement from the female.

On June 9, a warrant was issued for Chill for Domestic Abuse/Assault and Battery by Strangulation. Chill was subsequently arrested on June 22.
