Plans are underway to provide Christmas food baskets for Marshall County residents again this year. Volunteers with the Santa’s Elves group have designated Friday, December 18 as the date for the basket pick up at the Madill First United Methodist Church, 301 W. Taliaferro, from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
Persons who wish to apply for a basket, must fill out an application in advance.
Deadline for receiving the applications is December 11. Applications will be available at the following locations: First United Methodist Church in Madill, INCA office in Oakland, Bread of Life on East Main Street, and Kingston United Methodist Church. Applications should be turned in to one of those locations as well.
In order to comply with health department safety regulations, the distribution will be handled in a “driveby” format, where recipients will not have to leave their vehicles. Food baskets will be delivered to each vehicle. Instructions for the pickup will be available with the applications.
Families who wish to request toys for children should contact the INCA office for an application, and distribution of toys will be handled by the INCA staff.
