The Madill Community Day Care Center has been in operation for almost 50 years. A vision of Delores Smith and a few others when they noticed a need for a day care in Madill, thus the Madill Community Day Care Center was born.

Following the vision of the founders, Wilda Norris served the center in multiple capacities. Many of those years were as the director. Norris will soon move to Oklahoma City to be closer to her sister, and the board wanted to find a way to honor Norris’ longevity as a board member and pillar of the day care center.

They decided to erect a new infant playground, and dedicate it in Norris’ honor. However, they are in need of some contributions to make the dream a reality. Board President Chris Bradshaw said he has seen the impact of the day care center on the community.

“Having served on this board for more than thirty years, I have seen how our center makes a difference for the parents of Marshall County. It has been said that it takes a community to raise a child, but it also takes a community to provide the place and tools to accomplish the task,” Bradshaw stated.

Bradshaw and other board members are asking for help in achieving the goal.

“We are asking for your support to help fund a new infant playground and, at that same time, honor Wilda’s many years of service to the center. Your year-end tax-deductible gift will help us achieve this goal.”

Bradshaw asks the community to “help us continue offering the best in child care here in Marshall County.”
