The Chickasaw Nation Department of Culture & Humanities will host the last Kochcha' (outdoor) Market of the season Aug. 19, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Chickasaw National Capitol grounds in Tishomingo, Oklahoma.

This market provides a space for local artists and farmers to set up booths and share their products with the community.

The Kochcha' Market is for anyone in the community or the Chickasaw Nation to sell their handmade items or goods. Booths at past events have included Chickasaw regalia, beadwork, homemade candles, cake pops, canned goods, other fresh foods, flowers, freeze-dried items, woodworking, quilts and floral arrangements. Artists, farmers, gardeners, bakers and more are welcome at the event.

The market’s location is the East Pavilion of the Chickasaw National Capitol grounds in Tishomingo, on the corner of Fisher and 8th Street.

Vendors are asked to bring their own booths and tables to set up. Vending is open to all community members.

To learn more about the market or to become a vendor, call the Chickasaw Council House Museum at (580) 371-3351 or email Tanya.Russell@Chickasaw. net.
