January is MLK Day of Service

HealthCorps has created a new lesson for teens to volunteer and serve in their community. We want to inspire and encourage the benefits of serving to give their time and service not only on MLK Day but beyond.

The Corporation for National and Community Service leads this day of service which helps to empower individuals, strengthen communities, bridge barriers, address social problems, and move us closer to Dr. King’s vision of a "Beloved Community."

Kingston Elementary, Middle, and High School are working together with Healthcorps coordinator, Gabriella Mendez, to create care packages for soldiers that are deployed as Kingston's MLK Day Service Event.
