Hello Enos! Beautiful weather here in our community! Be sure to take some time and get outside and enjoy it! We all know that winter will eventually make an appearance. If you’re outside and working on those dropped leaves, be sure to be careful when you burn. Rain has been at a minimum and the winds are blowing. Use caution.

November is nearing its end and December is right around the corner and is full of activities for our community. Be sure to mark your calendars and support our local happenings.

Applications to sign up for the Enos Christmas for Kids and Senior Meal are available at the Enos Mall and on the door at the Enos/Cardinal Cove VFD. For the Senior Meal sign up, only a name, address, phone number and number of people in the family are needed. Complete the forms and place in the mail slot on the door at the Fire Department.

Items are still needed for the Christmas for Kids. We are needing new, unwrapped items for all age kids. And donations of canned/dry goods are also needed. A donation box is located at the Enos Dollar General. Raffle tickets are available for purchase at The Enos Gateway Mall, Vonnie’s Little Bar or by contacting Alice Tomlinson at 541-215-3075. You can also drop off items or purchase raffle tickets during the Christmas Festival at LaJeanne’s Plants ‘N Things on December 5th and 12th.

The Annual Enos Christmas Parade will be Saturday, December 12. Line up will begin at noon at the Enos/Cardinal Cove Firehouse and parade will begin at 1:00. Let’s work to make this the largest parade ever! Invite your friends and family for a full day of fun! It is certainly needed this year.

The Firefly Art Festival is coordinating with LaJeanne’s Plants’N Things to sponsor a Christmas Festival, which will be held the first 3 Saturdays in December. The Christmas for Kids raffle will be held at the Festival on December 12, following the Christmas Parade at 2:00. The Festival will be full of activities for the entire family.

The month of December is certainly looking to be a busy time for our community. So let’s make sure we, as a community, are able to support these activities.

Have a great week, do something nice for someone, and remember, “Kindness is a gift everyone can afford to give.” -unknown.
