In light of the Pandemic making its way across the world, I find it difficult to find much to write about, as meetings and gatherings have come to a standstill until this virus is successfully put away!

I pray each and every one of you are staying safe and enjoying your time with family and getting some things done around the house.

The Anchor Inn restaurant has picnic tables and new hours so you can still come and enjoy a meal!

They have made some changes to accommodate the patrons and still serve wonderful home cooking! Be sure to support your local restaurants and eateries during this time! How about those sunsets, aren’t they beautiful? Just think, summer is just around the corner!

I have to mention that several residents around the area have put Easter baskets out on their porches so the children can go around and collect eggs, as the egg hunts have been cancelled.

Also, Julie Riggs-Sisson has been painting Easter eggs and bunnies around the area on people’s windows! What a great community we live in!

Have you noticed that our beloved “Jurassic Park” has had some gravel installed at the gate area and the road leading into the park?

Members of the board and others are getting ready to brush hog, mow and general tree/road maintenance before our Memorial Day Holiday! We also have plans to install a few dinosaurs in the area!

I want to thank everyone who goes down and picks up garbage and empties trash cans! We know who you are, and we thank you!

As many of you know, this is the year for the 2020 Census Bureau to get out and determine residency, occupation, etc… By participating, it could establish more money for the county! You can also go online to answer their questions.

I want to remind parents with school age kids that Kingston Public Schools will be running their regular routes to deliver meals to the kids, 3 times a week. They will run Monday, Wednesday and Friday and will provide 3 meals to each student. Contact the Kingston Public School for more information. I believe they set up at the Texoma Baptist Church on those days, once they finish their bus routes.

Don’t forget to submit your recipes for the Cookbook Fundraiser, being held by the Buncombe Creek Volunteer Fire Department.

It is no cost and the deadline to submit your recipes is 8/1/2020.

You may mail them to: 13889 Holiday Park Dr., Kingston, OK 73439 or email to: BuncombeFire1@gmail.com.

That is all for this week, stay safe!
