Hello Buncombe Creek. Hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful fall weather. Thanksgiving is just around the corner so dig out your fat pants and prepare to enjoy your turkey feast as we gather with family and friends and give thanks for all we have in our lives. Let’s pray next year will see a brighter future ahead.

There is still time to get your lighting down to the Buncombe Creek Marina as they prepare for the “Light up the Marina” on Saturday, November 28 at dusk. There will be chili, hot dogs and chips for everyone. Bring your lawn chairs and drinks and enjoy the bon fire. Call Cheryl at 580-564-7102 if you would like to include a holiday standup decoration. There is no charge.

I want to mention that LaJeanne’s Plants N Things along with the Firefly Art Festival is coordinating a Christmas Festival event to run the first three weekends in December. There will be opportunity for picture taking, along with craft vendors and an assortment of other holiday gifts available. Plan on attending so this can be a yearly venue to enjoy.

The “Open Arms Clothes Closet” will be available at the Texoma Southern Baptist Church this Saturday, November 21 from 9:00 a.m. to noon. They have a variety of clothing for the young and old. Drop by and take a look.

The Kingston School Thanksgiving Break will be November 23 to 27, so be watchful for children during this period.

“In a world where you can be anything, be kind”!
