The election results should be in. Lets all pray for a leader who will take us in the right direction. Also, Veteran’s Day will be Wednesday, November 11 as we all remember why we still have our freedom and the lives that were lost to defend it.
The fishing is still quite good on Lake Texoma as I am seeing pictures and hearing good results on the Striper being brought in daily. So, get your fishing licenses and get out and catch some fish. The Buncombe Creek Marina will sell you your license and anything you may need to enjoy your day. Also, the Anchor ‘N Restaurant next door will serve up some awesome food before you go.

There will be a class for Disaster Relief Training at FBC in Madill on November 7. Please preregister at https://www.okdisasterhelp. org/volunteer-training. This class offers many faucets of ways we can help others in need, from serving lunch to digging ditches. Check it out.
The Buncombe Creek Ladies Auxiliary met Tuesday, October 20 at the Sirloin Stockade in Ardmore. This was their yearly eating lunch out and no business was discussed. They will meet again November 17..
