The tournament is held on East Drew Street on the ‘Hill’. The tournament was born on July 4 many years ago with just a few individuals all originally from Madill – Wade Watson, Charles Hastings, Letha Qualls, Charlie Byars, Lonnie “Q” Qualls, Betty Menifee just to name a few.

The tradition has since continued every July 4 weekend for the past 31 years and it includes community Bar-B-Q, hamburger and hotdogs. It also boasts a domino tournament.

The participants in the tournament come from all around Oklahoma and Texas. Most are originally from Madill who are in town for the holiday weekend. Oil Mill Hill encourages others in Marshall County to come out next year and join in on the fun.
